Toyota lift trucks are backed by proven product support from an industry-leading network of dealers who offer a broad range of resources including: factory trained service technicians, Genuine Toyota Parts, Toyota Certified Used Lift Trucks, and flexible leasing and financing packages through Toyota Financial Services.

All Toyota 8-Series engine powered lift trucks sold in North America are manufactured and assembled at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Columbus, Indiana.

Toyota’s position as America’s #1 forklift is reinforced through independent testing.

Using independent operators and equivalently equipped lift trucks, USAC Properties, Inc., the performance testing and endorsement arm for the United States Auto Club, conducted tests clearly demonstrating Toyota to be the most fuel efficient and productive lift truck in a head-to-head competition.

The Toyota 8FGCU25 was tested against equivalently equipped Hyster, Yale and Komatsu models.

The tests were performed on a course designed to simulate a common warehouse application. The course included typical lift truck operations, such as loaded and unloaded travel, turning, braking, lifting and lowering.

USAC’s independent tests concluded Toyota outperformed the competition in terms of fuel efficiency and productivity

TOYOTA FORKLIFT FUEL EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY

Toyota Uses:

  • 5.5% less fuel than Yale
  • 12.9% less fuel than Komatsu
  • 25.3% less fuel than Hyster

With the rapidly increasing cost of fuel the need for fuel efficient lift trucks is more critical than ever. As indicated from the chart above, test results demonstrated that Toyota is the most fuel efficient lift truck of the group, which could translate into thousands of dollars in savings per year.

Example: If a customer spends $4,000 on fuel to operate a Hyster lift truck (2.4L engine) per year, approximately $1,012 (25.3% of $4,000) could be saved on fuel cost by switching to an equivalently equipped Toyota lift truck.

Toyota forklift is:

  • .2% more productive than Komatsu
  • 4.5% more productive than Hyster
  • 5.8% more productive than Yale

As with fuel efficiency, the more productive a truck, the more money your company can save.

Example: If a customer has a Yale lift truck (2.2L engine) that operates 2,000 hours per year, the equivalently equipped Toyota lift truck could do the same amount of work in 116 less hours (5.8% of 2,000 hours). In other words, approximately $1,624 (116 hrs x $14.00/hour) in labor cost per year by switching to a Toyota lift truck.

In conclusion, independent testing conducted by the highly regarded testing agency, USAC, clearly shows that Toyota outperforms the competition in both fuel efficiency and productivity.
